It's GTK based so it can be tweak, and Zorin brothers know how to do that

I honestly wouldn't mind cinnamon on Zorin. It's what I started with when I first tried Linux with Mint. But I do see where others are coming from. If I may offer some feedback, why not borrow an idea from Cachy, and offer different DEs at the point of install? Have there be a menu option with previews so users can just pick what they want? Of course, there should be a default for the live enviro, and that should probably still be GNOME. It'll make the ISO a little bigger, sure, but I personally think it'd be a boon to have.
Personally, I would love to see the Lite Edition continue. Zorin makes Xfce look and feel premium.
In terms of Menus, Plasma offers very good 3 menu options, Application Launcher is a bit like Cinnamon menu, Application Menu (think Win2k and earlier and works with Orca where Application Launcher doesn't) and Application Grid (think similar to Mac).
Other distributions offer separate .isos which I think is a better option.
PCLOS Debian offers separate .iso's for budgie, Cinnamon, KDE Plasma, KDE Plasma-Mini, MATE (/ΛmΙΛteΙͺ/ MAH-tay), and xfce, plus no systemd or pulse audio.
Artix not only has multiple Desktop Environment .iso's but each DE .iso is also available with multiple init versions of each DE, again no systemd.
