Hi , I have been using zorinos since a month now, it's better than windows but a small bug appeared today.
I had turned on jelly mode it work fine but today I thought of changing the window layout using the zorin appearance software, when I minimize the window instead of going down to the taskbar it goes up and I am not able to fix it could anyone help ? It looks very annoying.

From what Layout did You switch to what Layout now? Did You tried it with disabling the Jelly Mode, reboot and enable it again?

Yes I tried everything ( rebooting, turning of the jelly mode changing the appearance etc ) but nothing changed .
The problem started when I tried this layout .

Which layout do you use now? Do you use the zorin taskbar or another panel or dock, e.g. the gnome extension "dash to dock", "dash to panel" or another dock?
Which gnome extensions do you have enabled?

I’m seeing the same Jelly Mode behavior after changing the window layout, where minimized windows move upward instead of returning to the taskbar. Rebooting, disabling Jelly Mode, and changing the appearance settings did not restore the expected taskbar behavior.

I could reproduce this behavior, too. Perhaps the gnome extension Zorin magic lamp (=jelly mode) needs a dock or taskbar, not the original gnome top bar to work correctly or is set up to hide the windows always to the bottom. When you install a dock for the bottom in layout 4, e.g. the gnome extension "Dash to dock", then the effect works as it should and the window hides to the dock. I didn't found a way yet to change the direction and hide the window to the top bar in layout 4.

The frustration let me to install a fresh version of zorinos the problem is resolved but I could recall that the problem only appeared after I updated to the latest version using the software update application provided by zorin

That is the Vanilla Gnome Layout. Because it doesn't have a Taskbar or Dock, I would guess the Minimize Effect goes to the Top Bar.

Thinking this is a fair example of the use of timeshift..create one then make changes if it goes wrong timeshift back to where ya was before it started...also rescuezilla clone OS to external drive for even better protection from ones self.... 
timeshift....never change your OS without it....old american express commerical....lol
