The article seems to try to imply, without saying it, that it replaces or outperforms KDE Connect.
It doesn't. In fact, it is narrower, geared more toward direct file sharing, not notifications, alerts, Connects Texting ability and so on.
The vibe I got was that it was more about promoting Flathub and flatpak than the app itself.

I do find KDE Connect a superb piece of software, just don't apply the option on your phone to use remote key input as this can interfere with the phone's keyboard and the 3 screen buttons (inverse triangle, circle and square).
It is great for SMS and being able to reply to texts from the computer without having to reach for the phone is brilliant. Obviously, the most outstanding feature is to be able to use the phone as a remote device for presentations, especially if you arrive at a venue and the IWB remote is missing.
