I am encountering two unusual issues regarding custom desktop entries created with Main Menu (Alacarte, named "Menu Principal" in the French version of Zorin OS), specifically when assigning custom icons to an AppImage file.
- App Grid UI does not refresh updated icons
When I change or update the icon of an application entry inside Alacarte, the change is not reflected in the Application Grid. To force the desktop to display the new icon, I have to drag the shortcut into an App Grid folder and then pull it back out. This seems to force a cache layout refresh that doesn't trigger automatically.
Is it normal ? Why doesn't it refresh automacically, when doing a change in "Menu principal" ?
- Custom icon resets to default gear icon after system reboot (Main issue)
This is my main issue. I assigned a local .png image to my kDrive AppImage shortcut. Everything works as expected during the current session (once I perform the folder drag-and-drop workaround described in point 1), but upon restarting the computer, the custom icon systematically disappears and reverts to a generic gray gear icon.
