I downloaded an AppImage to the Downloads folder on Zorin OS 16. I changed the permissions and run it from there but it is just a generic AppImage icon. Is there a way to put it in Favorites or on the desktop with a its own icon and label? Thanks.
You can create a desktop entry yourself as it is very easy to do.
After the desktop entry shows up in your menu, you can then right-click it and select "Add to Favourites".
