strong textAfter many attempts I have installed Linux. Please explain about authorising passwords. When I installed I did a password but when I tried to download updates for Brave it asked for a password to authorise but would not accept the one i entered. what password do i need to authorise downloading and anything else where it is needed

Hmm should be the one you login with as it will make a keyring in the password app in zorin. I know some have had problems with brave in past. I am sure someone has the solution for this.....i use firefox myself

Usually it is the same password. Do you use an automatic login? The easiest way is to use a password login, then brave-browser doesn't ask for passwords. You can change it in the settings app > system > users/accounts

How ere you trying to download the Brave updates? Software app or Brave website?
The software app should use your regular Zorin password. Brave website, no sure - do you have a Brave account and password set up for synching to other devices maybe?
If you have autologin enabled Zorin will ask for keyring password when you open any browser that can store passwords. I think default is your regular password though I changed mine to more of a PIN through the passwords and settings app.
