Can you tell me if I have set up Zorin 18.1 to connect to Proton VPN automatically or do I have to still set it manually every time I start my laptop up?
Ah, a question to which I know the answer, and which I answered in an earlier post, but anyway... 
Right click on Zorin menu ( bottom left of taskbar)
Edit menu.
Click on Internet in the left column.
Right click on Proton VPN.
Choose Properties.
Copy the Command string.
Close all of it down - that's all you needed from this part.
Again in the Zorin menu, search for Startup and choose Startup Applications.
Press Add.
Enter a name, the command string you've just copied, and a description.
Save.
Reboot and watch the magic.
Yes very good thanks but, it pops up automatically saves me doing it manually but How do I get to sign me in automatically. I still have to do that manually.
I've switched to NordVPN, so I can't test, but in my case ProtonVPN started in minimised mode on the right of the taskbar, fully signed in and active immediately. Check Autoconnect and Start App Minimised in settings. Also add a code (in my case IE for Ireland - whichever one you like, though it may not be necessary) in Pinned Tray Connections.
you have an option in settings, so your autosatrt will start Proton VPN et this option will autoconnect

One more thing: to see “Start app minimized,” you need to install GNOME Extensions and enable Ubuntu Applndicators

Zorin AppIndicators is already installed...
I did this but I still have Sign in with username and password and connect. Can you tell me how Linux will fill in my username and password and connect for me automatically.
Are you referring to the login at boot (the loginscreen which you see when you have selected a login with password) or to a login for the VPN?
Did you install Proton VPN as flatpak ?
If you did, uninstall it and follow this guide
Right when I log in I want Proton VPN to log me in automatically without me doing anything. At the moment it pops up on screen and I have to enter my username and passsword and click the connect button. If there is a way that it will just start up and connect automatically without me doing the above then how do you do it.

so uninstall it from Softwares and follow the guide I gave you...
I know what it does I have Proton VPN, that's why I said you to uninstall it and follow the guide to install it
Done everything you said still have to sign in manually as in screen shots. Uninstalled it re-installled it with the instruction but no automatic start up of anything.
you need to remove the autostart you created before and recreate it

do you have auto-login on Zorin ?
