I have moved house and lost the written PW I had for the scheduled backup of files. Is there a way to edit/see the PW? It ignored the optional blue button to proceed without it?
Passwords are encrypted, you can't preview it, thats how you keep hackers out. If you can't recover your password, you are out of luck. You should memorize your most used passwords. Hopefully, you will find your note eventually.
OK StarTreker, I had to uninstall Backup and start again with another app from the software library. I couldn't be helped - moving house is a big eraser of many things.
i use bit warden to store all my passwords i need to remember it does have a password protection as well comes in handy with all the stuff i need to remember
Unfortunately, @StarTreker is right. The purpose of encrypting something is to make it difficult to retrieve the content of what's encrypted.
A password manager would help with managing all of your passwords for every account, and use case such as this one. You'd still need to remember one master password that is used to encrypt everything, but it's better to remember only one strong password than tens or hundreds of them.
