Batch decompression for newcomers

I reinstalled Endless Sky recently, and downloaded the plugins I love to install for it. However, I could not get the integrated extractor to do a batch extraction to the plugins folder, so I went to my favourite archiving software, WinRAR. There is a Linux version available (tarball, I always struggle to get those right for some reason), but I know from experience that the Windows edition (7.20 currently) is perfect for this on Zorin OS. Just download it and install it with a right-click and install it with "install Windows Application."

It works exactly as advertised on Windows, though on Linux. No more extracting one file at a time.

Was it a .rar File that You wanted to extract? If yes, You can install a rar Package in Zorin to have that Option. You can install it with sudo apt install rar

It's .zip files, but I was looking for the batch extraction, open the app, select them all and extract all at once.

and use archive browser or extract here :wink:

I did that. Might have missed an option, but every .zip opened in its own window, and needed to be completed and closed one-at-a-time.

I'm on 17.3 Pro. Someday when I'm big and have lots of money, I'm considering upgrading to 18.x Pro.
