I would suggest to switch to the older Kernel to check if it works again. To do that choose on Start-Up on the GRUB Menu the Option ''Advanced Options'' and there the one with the older Kernel.
You can try also to remove your battery when laptop is power off, unplug power supply, stay press 30 seconds on power button without plugin to power, plug the battery again and restart.
If it's a non easy removable battery, you will have to use your screwdriver and be really careful and does the same with the power button.
I tried power off, unplug, press hold power for 30 seconds, plug in, and boot. No change except I noticed that the battery light on the side of my computer was on during the boot, but turned off when the "Acer" screen logo showed up.
First if you didn't, go to your BIOS and disable secure boot and if if don't work you can try to boot with older kernel, when it boot push Escape to go in Grub menu and from the grub screen, you can go to the Advanced options, and select older kernel
