Hi all. Complete newbie here, with a question.
As in subject, did anybody used this printer with Zorin18? I download the deb package from aiyin site, but it doesn't install, saying error 1. Anybody knows, how to fix it, or other way to get this printer working?
Appreciate any help
Hi and welcome.
Brave A.I. search engine via Mojeek search gives:
" Official drivers for the Beeprt PP-480 on Linux are not explicitly listed in the provided search context, which notes that the BY-480 series is incompatible with Linux and Chromebook. However, the Beeprt website states that they develop drivers for Linux , and a community-maintained CUPS driver package exists for similar models (often rebranded as Munbyn or Rollo), consisting of a .ppd file and a rastertolabelbeeprt binary.
To attempt installation on Linux:
- Download the Beeprt-driver-ubuntu_x86_64_v1.3.tar package (often used for compatible 203 dpi thermal printers) and extract the
Beeprt.ppdandrastertolabelbeeprtbinary. - Place the binary in
/compat/linux(if using FreeBSD) or the appropriate system directory, and edit the.ppdfile to update the path if necessary. - Install the driver via CUPS by uploading the
.ppdfile through the web interface or usinglpadminwith the-moption to specify the custom PPD.
If the specific PP-480 driver is unavailable, users may need to rely on BarTender software or the Seagull Driver (which supports Beeprt models) as alternative solutions, though direct compatibility is not confirmed for the PP-480 in the provided text. For the most accurate driver, contacting Beeprt support at support@beeprt.net or checking help.ayinprinter.com is recommended.

That was quick. Once I located and downloaded file, I could install driver through printer details.
Thank you very much!
Glad to see that Brave A.I. got it right friend.
