my pointer keeps flickering on screen so the touchpad and mose are unusable,
machine is a Lenovo Yoga
yoga has a touchscreen. so there might be an issue with a ghost touch.
use xinput and disable the touch listed.
if the flickering stops while the corsur moves, it might be related to the graphics driver installed.
I will try that later this afternoon, TYVM
XINPUT not found??
It's because you are under Wayland I guess, go in terminal an run this command
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
if it's Wayland do that to switch to Xorg:
- Logout
- At the login screen, click your username (don't enter password)
- Click the gear icon in the bottom right
- Select "Zorin Desktop on Xorg"
xinput only work in Xorg (X11)...
LOL, no gear icon bottom right or bottom left
I am now begining to understand why people give up on Linux ![]()
eventually got that, but touchpad/mouse now totally unusable
mouse will no longer move past the first 1/4 of the screen on the left hand side
because you changed your screen settings with fractional scaling
None of the settings have been changed by me, as unable to select anything as pointer not behave
what is your Graphic card ?
I wouldn't know fractional scaling if it was to jump up and bite me
whatever is built in to the Yoga, I can't check as the pointer is not behaving
so we are going to end up going round and round in endless circles
not whatever if you want help we need to know what it is
without reinstalling windows I cant tell you, I will see if I can get to the bios and look what info is in there
you can if you go in settings !
