Black screen after install

Just installed Zorin OS 17.2 Pro alongside windows 11.
Dell XPS
Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 185H 2.50 GHz.
32,0 GB.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.

After boot and bootloader menu the Zorin logo shows for a while.

After that only a black screen.

Welcome to the Forum!

Did you had any Issues during the Installation?
Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in the BIOS turned off?
Is Fast start-Up in windows turned off?
Did you installed Zorin with Nvidia Drivers or without?

Installation didn't give any errors at all.
Secure Boot is off, I don't see any 'fast boot' option in the bios.
Installed with Nvidia drivers.
It runs fine directly from the usb stick.

I also disabled this 'fast-startup' in windows but that didn't make any difference.

Windows 11 Home, no bitlocker.

installing with 'safe graphics' also gives only black screen.

So, You installed it before without Nvidia Graphics and that didn't worked, yes?

Is Your BIOS in UEFI or Legacy Mode?
What Tool did You used to create the bootable USB Stick?

BIOS is UEFI.
Tool: balenaEtcher
Installed with Nvidia Graphics, black screen.
Back to Windows, cleared partition.
Installed 'safe graphics' , black screen.
Back to Windows, cleared partition.
Installed Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS, black screen.
Dropped into grub recovery, repair broken packages, update grub bootloader.
reboot: Yes, Ubuntu visible.
Back to Windows, cleared partition.
Installed Zorin with Nvidia Graphics.
Dropped into grub recovery, repair broken packages, update grub bootloader.
Reboot: black screen.
Give up.
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with Cinnamon works.

Could you possibly include an image of how your partitions are setup via something like Disks or Gparted?

You could try it with installing without the Nvidia Drivers. These You can install after the Installation, too.

And as Tool for creating the USB Stick, you could try instead of Etcher Rufus. Because Your BIOS is UEFI, look in Rufus on ''Partition Sheme'' to use GPT.

Did You checked the Checksum of the ISO?

and when You install Zorin, what Installation Mode You have chosen? Install Zorin alongside Windows or Something else?

Oh, and beneath Secure Boot disabled, You should look if TPM is disabled, too.
