it dose seem that it is showing as an device but its not letting me connect to Bluetooth sound bars or headphones or anything Bluetooth related

i have also tried this on a few other Ubuntu based deros on live cd and it seems to be the case also the same with my older 4.0 dougle as well so i am guessing somthing not set up for it to work right

Make sure secure boot is turned off in the bios and try to follow these steps posted here.

I have secure boot on at the moment as I do run Windows on a different drive for playing games so could I keep it on and try the changes ?

For linux it's better to turn it off. It might even fix your issue.

It can do some good on Windows... But I would turn it off even on Windows. The thing is, security begins with the User, not the hardware.
