Caffeine is a .DEB file ... ?!

I feel so silly about this, especially after having used Linux for more than a year now, but ... I recently discovered that Caffeine is available also as a .DEB file. I tested it on Debian Bookworm with the Cinnamon desktop environment. Works perfectly. It's available for Jammy Jellyfish, too. And so on. Perhaps plugging in the .DEB file for Caffeine in the Zorin OS 18 installation ISO file will be sufficient (and easier/better) than putting in the Caffeine extension? That way, it's more discreet and "hard-wired" in the system, so to speak. Less fuss for users. Anyway, there you have it. Hope to see better power management in Zorin 18. Thanks.

This seems to be pretty useful. I agree with this statement you made:

Maybe just the extension isn't enough, honestly.

But I also suspect that Gnome is following the manufacturer's of hardware imposition of having to be energy efficient to meet new guidelines. Again, Gnome is making decisions what it believes is best for users (and Devs) just like Redmond.
