Just a followup. I did delete the -2 from the Printer Directory and I was still able to print successfully as before. So I am good to go!
I do not know whether you live in Sheffield, England or all the way to Munich, Germany.
However, if you do live in the UK, I would like to introduce you to an English working class Delicacy that has been around for 150 years.
It is called Pie and Mash and I enjoyed it as a child in the late 40's in London.
They deliver on Fridays and a couple of years ago my Sister, who lives in Hatfield Heath, Essex, turned 79 years old on a Friday.
I surprised her with a chilled delivery of Pie and Mash(with liquor of course)
This originated from a almost 100 year old Pie House located in Leytonstone, E 11, which happens to be within a mile or so of where I grew up.
I would love to send you a batch of 8 pies and what comes with it.
Of course I would need a delivery address which I promise not to reveal and I promise that the Food will not kill you and Family.
I sincerely hope that you take me up on this.

Dear Sir, I am flattered. However, would not go down (at all) with m'lady as we are Pescatarian/Veggies - but I am partial to a full English every now and then, including a slice of black pudding.

Good morning, all. Just a courtesy update here. After my most recent software update, my printer is now working! But it was not because of having tried any of the various suggestions here; I hadn't had time. (This laptop is not my "daily driver", so I'm not on it every day; my "daily driver" is actualuy an iPad Pro).
No, it now "just works", at least for printing, even wirelessly. My guess is that one of the updates was for the printer drivers.
I haven't had time to see if it can scan, but I plan to test that when I have the opportunity.

"If you do decide to go ahead with purchasing an Epson Printer, just be sure you use a Chromium based browser to download the drivers". Thanks for this suggestion, I'll keep it in mind. I have Brave and Ungoogled Chromium browsers installed on this machine, so I should be good to go.
