Cant manage Gnome extensions in firefox

Hello everyone
I want to manage gnome extension from the firefox browser but this doesn't work. It shows me the error No such native application org.gnome.chrome_gnome_shell
I have the plugin installed and when I click the install button for an extension i do get the popup to install it.
In brave it does work properly but I dont like brave and want to remove it. The plugin manager in zorin does work but i prefer using the browser to manage the extensions

This is in brave as you can see there it does work:

In which package format is firefox installed?

If you like, you can install the extension manager to manage gnome extensions. It works well.

sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-manager

Welcome to the Forum!

I know these Issue well. That was the Reason why I switched to the Extension Manager which You seem to have already installed when I see that right on Your 2nd Picture.

It seems that it works in Browser better with Chromium-based Browsers - at least in my Experience. When You don't like Brave, You could try Vivaldi. Maybe it suits You better. Then, you could use Vivaldi for Your Extension Management and Firefox for the Rest.

Sounds like you have Firefox installed as a flatpak. Either find a .deb package of firefox or use Extension Manager as @Ponce-De-Leon suggested.

thanks this was the solution, when i installed firefox I just clicked install in the software center and the default is a flatpack. I didnt know that could have compatability issues. With the Zorin package in the software centre (apt package) the extension management works in firefox
