Can't play DVD's

I can put a game disc in the drive and it works fine.

I've successfully used the DVD drive to burn cd's with brasero

I put in a comercial DVD and it doesn't seem to recognize it.

I have installed libdvdcss

Have you yet run

sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras

I had not, that wasn't mentioned in the guide I found that had me install the other packages.

Now that I have, my comercial DVD's play as intended.
