I updated the Kernel using mainline Kernels from 6.17.0-23.23~24.04.1 to 6.18.26-061826 would that be enough for now !
If your system is stable and everything is working as it should...This is where i would stop. use it a few weeks to see if anything breaks/fails if not stay right where you are you will still get updates from zorin so everything should be fine at that point...note there is a temporary fix till this is patched
Here is the list of the base kernel points that have been fixed:
Specific stable branches that have backported the fix, such as:
6.19.12
6.18.22
6.12.85
6.6.137
6.1.170
5.15.204
5.10.254
So, any kernel with a higher number than the base ones listed should include the fix, so 6.18.26 should have the fix present.
Thanks @swarfendor437
The Copy Fail fix is in 6.17.0-23, but Dirty Frag don't have any release 6.17* with in.
Interesting. 6.12.86 from Debian does have the Dirty Frag fix.
Because this is an official LTS Kernel. The 6.17 one from Ubuntu gets Support from Ubuntu itself. So, Ubuntu has to fix that.
I know.
