I installed zorin for the first time today replacing windows and during my first install, i put in a simple password for both administrative and personal use. Tried to access my ssd drive (secondary) to start organizing my backup files to put in the new folders but my password didn’t work. thought i just miss typed so i reinstalled zorin over that install, made sure i very carefully typed out the password and got back in. went to the drive and nope, wrong password. i was so confused and starting to get really annoyed considering i erased windows just for zorin so i couldn’t go back. idk maybe i still did something wrong so yet again i reinstalled zorin. typed out every key slowly and counted out loud to make sure i didn’t accidentally double click anything. after the password confirmation went back up to retype and made sure i got it correct. even wrote it down on my phone. guess what. still wrong. IS IT A ME ISSUE?? OR THE OS???? i just wanted to escape windows 
and now whenever i turn my pc off, the case light starts blinking then it turns back on. please help
First, let's clarify what passwords you are referring to.
I think it is very unlikely you are losing your mind and entering the password wrong at this point.
Did you choose the option at install to "Encrypt the Drive"?
That is LUKS encryption and that password field is presented at boot, before logging in.
Did you create a separate user password in addition to the Root password?
Also - when you installed Zorin OS, did you format to ext4?
If I may I will add a problem encounter with some laptop, when you select during install (for my example french keyboard) sometimes it stay in English-US so Qwerty and not Azerty, so when you first try to login to Zorin you are with Azerty keyboard but the password was set with Qwerty so many letters are not at the same place. I suggest to just stay with a simple password like "dfgh" and change it later
And it's not only a "linux" problem during my working life I encountered it with windows...
