Would anyone know how to add gnome or evolution calendar to the default apps?
You should be able to append your preferred application to the mimeapps list.
But before posting this, I needed to test it to ensure it works (because even though it should, that doesn't mean it will).
And...
It doesn't. Gnome does not respect that mimeapps list for the default apps in this regard.
I set about trying to find another solution and all I can find is Gnome dev response to this:
Workaround the issue by right clicking and choosing your preferred app.
