Dmesg's "delayed_fput hogged CPU" & "Atomic update failure on pipe A"

Thanks a lot for the Grub analysis! I'm following your suggestion, bringing it back to a clean version ("quiet splash i915.enable_psr=0" parameters only) and then seeing what happens. At this point, while using FreeTube, Firefox and playing OpenTTD for a few hours, there have been no freezes or graphical glitches whatsoever; in spite of that, the "delayed_fput hogged CPU" errors (dmesg -w) are still present, the same for the "Atomic update failure on Pipe A" - albeit this one appears to have become less frequent.

I'll be testing and "stressing" the system for a few days in order to gather a better picture of the current situation, and then I'll report back to you. :+1:

Somewhat adventurous, yes, but with a good motive and at least one backup plan. :clinking_beer_mugs:

While I'm definitely interested in bringing the GeForce 310M back to use, the dealbreaker in the particular PPA you've offered is that it's not compatible with Wayland.

Tell me if you are aware of a similar project that addresses this.

Well, more than just Nvidia, I think.
i915 [drm] ERROR Atomic update failure on pipe A
Wayland relies heavily on atomic modesetting.

Those old nvidia legacy drivers don't support wayland.
