Does Zorin OS 16.1 Pro support 6GHz WiFi band?

I have just installed Zorin OS 16.1 Pro on my mini desktop but Intel's AX210 M.2 2230 Wireless Network Adapter doesn't see 6GHz. However, it has no issues connecting to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz SSID from the same router/AP.

Country: Canada, where the 6GHz band has been enabled.

Please read this Intel community forum thread for guidance:

I already read the Intel community forum thread and many more, however, I'm in Canada where the 6GHz band has been enabled but the 6GHz SSID isn't visible to AX210 on Zorin OS 16.1 Pro.

Smartphones such as Samsung S22+ and others can connect to the same 6GHz SSID though and they work too without any issues.

That thread did state that the drivers for Linux lag behind. Whether newer kernels would include the driver I don't know.

For sure, thanks!

I'll message Zorin OS support folks and see what they say eh.

It essentially depends on the kernel drivers if it is supported or not which is essentially out of the hands of the Zorin OS team.

Here in Australia :australia: we only have 5GHz band as the highest. We are abit behind in terms of technology :joy:
