Is there or will there be a downgrade path from Pro to Core that doesn't involve a reinstall?

Unfortunately, this option is not available. However, you could move this good suggestion to the Feedback category.

Well, You could disable the Pro Repo (I think it is called Premium). Then, You should be on the Zorin Core Level. but I don't know how then the Thing with the Desktop Layouts behave. Maybe it would be good to uninstall the Premium ones, too.

Or maybe the Zorin brothers will add the feature to avoid the bad feelings around it.
