First thing Iād check is whether Software installed the Snap or Flatpak version. Try launching it once from Terminal so the real error shows up, for example search the app name with flatpak list | grep -i snip or snap list | grep -i snip, then run the matching command. Also check if another screen recorder is already using the portal/session. If you paste the terminal error and your Zorin version, it will be much easier to tell whether it is a missing portal permission or a broken package.
Hm, I'm not sure if that app will work at all on Zorin 18/ubuntu 24. I tested the installation of the snap package in a Zorin 18.1 live session, and the installation was successful, but it didn't launch - neither in Xorg nor Wayland, I also have installed ffmpeg for the use in Xorg. The terminal showed "GLIBC_2.38 not found", and also one line with "GLIBC_2.36 not found". Zorin uses glibc 2.39, and I think glibc 2.38 can't be installed. But I'm not sure.
I found this article how to install multiple glibc libraries, but I wouldn't recommend to do that. Better is to look for another app. Many screenshot/screen recording apps don't work correctly in Wayland, so please always test if they work in Xorg. You can switch between Xorg and Wayland at loginscreen (cog wheal).

Maybe ksnip could be an Alternative. What exactly You want do with the Tool?

No, Ksnip does not work with Wayland. I discovered this when I put LMDE 7 on a client's Lenovo. I installed KDE (standard) Plasma, due to client requirements, but Spectacle on Plasma works on Wayland.

If the program was running in background when you uninstalled it, then it can help to install it again, quit the program and then uninstall it.
To quit the program it can help to open the app system monitor and search for ksnip there. Then you can quit the process.
