BalenaEtcher often makes problems when creating the boot stick. You could try another program like Rufus (if you have a Windows computer) or Ventoy.

+1 on Ventoy. It's frankly much simpler to use and more reliable. Setting it up is a bit more involved but not all that bad, it's definitely worth trying.

I found on Tails.net that they stopped recommending Balena Etcher because of privacy concerns. Apparently they show ads and phone home the name of your .iso image you're writing. Thank you. I went to the Balena forum link and they said to run as administrator. I worked fine.

You could try another program like Rufus (if you have a Windows computer) or Ventoy.

Only to add an Alternative here: I use on Zorin Impression which works fine for me. The only Downside of it is that You can't choose between GPT and MBR.
