Every time Zorin 17 updates, I have to manually install my Realtek RTL8832bu Wifi drivers. driver version rtl8852bu2024
Is there a way to NOT have to do this EVERY time?

Welcome to the Forum!

Did You installed it from the Repo's? If yes: Can You name the Package Name?

As far as I read a 6.17 kernel might help as it includes the driver, but I'm not sure. If you plan to upgrade to Zorin 18 that would solve it probably, or you can try to install kernel 6.17 with the mainline installer tool in Zorin 17.

DKMS, Dynamic Kernel Module Support, exists to prevent this very problem. Installing using DKMS can carry over out-of-tree modules during a kernel upgrade.
What method are you using to install your driver?
