Never thought I wold need a camera for my laptop .... when I bought my Asus Gaming laptop I specifically asked that no camera was needed ..... now I find out that I need to do a one time virtual interview for immigration .....
Does the camera need to be comparable for the Linux OS .... I kinda suspect that it will which is probably going to be a real pain to find here most vendors here have never heard of Linux ..... or maybe another suggestion ....
Thanks Storm let me see if it is available around here ..... to buy it online and have it shipped here would not be to bad but the custom fees can sometimes be more expensive than the item ... I know as I once charged by customs $5 more for an item than I did for the item with shipping .... .... ex. ..... paid $20 for item with shipping .... than customs charged me $25 ..... total $45 to receive my item .....
Oh well Amazon doesn't not ship to my location (meaning country) but I did find a webcam that looks like it will work made by V380 Pro ... they sell a lot of different security and webcam cameras ....
Hope it will work there's a bunch of different videos on YouTube so I ordered it .... hope it works for just one virtual interview then I don't care .... LOL
I found one and ordered it ... just received it yesterday and it really works fantastic ..... says it is plug and play and it definitely is .... just plugged in the camera to my USB drive activated it by using Cheese and it worked on Linux like they said it would .....
It is 2K Full HD .... USB2 ..... has a built in microphone .... 6 ft heavy duty cord and mounts to the top of my laptop screen .... haven't explored all the features yet but it works super so far ...
The plug and play works with Windows ... Mac .... Android and Linux ....
Here is the a photo of the website and item ..... and yes it originally comes from China .....
