Ya can't say that you are surprised however, Google is a manopoly, just like Microslop, they choose what they allow, or don't allow. They love to guide the herd, where they want us to go.

Whatever happened to 'do no evil'?
Alphabet Inc has slowly reduced the slogan from a primary mantra to a more reduced placement in their code of conduct.
But a possible loophole which Google are (at the moment) stating:
" Will Android Debug Bridge (ADB) install work without registration? As a developer, you are free to install apps without verification with ADB."
If you're reading this, I'm guessing that you won't be afraid of ADB, so for the propellorheads among us the problem is not as severe as it has been rumoured. For the moment, at least...
