I tried a dual boot to my Toshiba satellite Windows 7 computer, but neither the Windows nor the Zorin would boot. Then, I follwed the advice of creating a partition because it said the boot data was too far from the start of the disk. The boot-repair wouldn't work. I liked what I saw of Zorin so much, I thought well, I'll just sacrifice all my windows 7 and replace it with Zorin and maybe that would solve the problem. It didn't, and now, it advises to first disable BIOS-compatibiity/CSM/Legacy mode inthe UEFI and then apply live-USB of Boot-repair disk-64-bit, in order to access and use the Zorin boot repair. The problem is, Windows7 is gone, written over by the Zorin and there's no way to get into the computer to set the Secure Boot to Disabled and change the Boot mode settings. I'm getting desperate! please help!
I am able to access the "try Zorin" with the download USB 18 GB I created.
This is done from your BIOS Settings, not from in Windows OS.
For Toshiba, this is commonly reached by tapping the F2 key at boot.

Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled? Is Your BIOS in Legacy or UEFI Mode? What Tool did You use to create the Bootstick?
Which Toshiba Satellite model do you have?
If you have the tech spec, please provide that info.
In particular is it 64bit or 32bit architecture and does it have UEFI or Legacy BIOS setup.
I cannot access the Windows system BIOS to check or change anything. I created the Zorin USB stick from the Zorin website. The Toshiba emblem does display when it turns on but only for 1.5 seconds. I've tried pumping the F2 key, I've tried just holding it down steady. It doesn't change anything. The Zorin BIOS will come up, but nothing I've tried changing in there seems to make a difference. At the first, after creating the USB stick, I tried the " try Zorin" and I really liked it and followed the instructions to create dual systems. It wouldn't boot, and the instructions I recieved were that the boot menu was too far from the front of the disk, so I used gparted to create the 1GB space but it wouldn't allow boot-repair to run. So then I thought, well, I'll just check the box that removes windows and replaces it with Zorin, thinking that would place the boot menu where it would work. However, that didn't even work, so I again used gparted to create 1 GB of space but when I went to boot-repair, it said i had to go through the steps that you have told me: change the Boot Mode setting by selecting UEFI or UEFI only, then use the Boot-repair-disk-64-bit from SourceForge. Pumping F2 is not taking me anywhere, when it starts, it can take me to Zorin's BIOS box, but I don't know how to "Disable BIOS-compatibility/CSM/Legacy mode in my UEFI firmware" from inside that BIOS box. The Computer is a Toshiba Satellite A665, and I'm unsure of the setup because I never heard of UEFI or Legacy before now. I tried a disk that I had made which years ago I had entitled Toshiba 64 bit Recovery, but when I tried running it it said it wouldn't work. It is a 64-bit computer, Thanks,
Does the Live Mode (''Try Zorin'') with the Bootstick still work? If yes, start it in Live Mode and search for ''GParted'' and open it. It will show the Partitions and how they are set up. It would be good when You could make Pictures of this and post it here. So, we can get an Overview.
There are a lot of different versions and specifications of the A665. Do you know which one e.g. Toshiba Satellite A665-?????
