Hi, i want to move from Windows to a Linux OS & i've been trying Zorin for the first time. it's a really nice OS!
But one feature that would great to add, is simply the drag & drop with the right click.
So that, just like Windows, the contextual menu appear & let us decide if we want to copy, move, extract, etc. to the directory.
i currently try Zorin on VMware workstation 17.6.3 (but i don't think that's the problem), when i do a right click on any file (even a txt), the contextual menu appear, even though that i haven't released the button (so i can't drag/drop)
Drag & drop with right click, must be a new Windows feature in Windows 10 or 11, as I have no memory of such a feature in Windows 7, XP, 2000, 98. 95, 3.1. Maybe such a feature could be added IDK.
Guys, was there a tweak in GNOME tweaks for switching left and right mouse buttons with each other? If that's possible, maybe drag and drop can work with the right button, as it would be the new primary button.
You can replicate the same behavior by holding Alt when you start the drag operation:
However, note that this will not work if you drag files over to the desktop, only between windows of the file manager as I've shown here — though you can navigate to the "Desktop" folder and that will work fine.
I haven't found a way to change this to be the right-click, though. Maybe there's a Gnome shell extension for it.
