When I try to select and copy files from one a drive with MP3's on it to music folder it pops up a window saying its not responding.

Is the other drive an external drive or a partition on the drive you are using?
What File System is it formatted to?

Welcome to the Forum!

Besides @Aravisian's Questions: Do You copy the whole Folder with all Your Music or did You make more little Steps to copy it? Because when You copy directly all, it could behave like this depending how much Music Files You have.

ya if that 3 TB drive is an old spinup type drive copy smaller batches of your music at a time may take a few trys to get them all tho maybe if money allows upgrade if possible to an ssd they are much faster at data transfer
