I remember reading that Fingerprint reader support was going to come baked in Z16. However I do not find any option to add fingerprints in Settings > Users.
Is this not available as of yet? Must some tinkering be done to enable this? Or is this only supported on a limited number of laptops?
I own an LG Gram.
I have the same problem and have tried some fixes from the command line, but no deal. The figerprint area, well where it should be remains empty.. I can't believe the information above is from '21. Wow..
If you search the forum using "fingerprint" as search term, you will find several threads on that subject of non-working fingerprint sensor.
You should determine what your sensor is, as some brands/models are recognised not to work on Ubuntu 20.04 etc.
