I've been facing an issue with FlatSeal on Zorin OS. Whenever I try to start FlatSeal, it causes my system to restart. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application multiple times, but the problem persists.
Steps I've taken so far:
Checked for updates and ensured that I have the latest version of FlatSeal and Flatpak.
Verified permissions and attempted to override them using the command flatpak override com.github.tchx84.Flatseal --filesystem=host-etc:ro.
Tried running FlatSeal with a different renderer using GSK_RENDERER=gl flatpak run com.github.tchx84.Flatseal.
Reviewed system logs using journalctl but couldn't identify any specific errors.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, or does anyone have suggestions for a solution?
I use Flatseal to give permissions for external drive, for Steam. I have not had issues with restarting my PC. I wouldn't know where to start. Hope someone can help you with this.
You might still see some errors that were logged. In the applications menu search for "Logs" and move to the "All" tab in the sidebar. Then, you can use the search function on the right side (magnifying glass) and search for things like "flatseal", "error" and similar terms. Hopefully there may be something that sheds some light on the issue.
Now that you've uninstalled it, you could try to clear any cached files and install it again. Maybe something went wrong the first time.
Launch a terminal from the applications menu and run:
I followed the suggested solution and installed Flatseal, but unfortunately, it didn't resolve the issue. My PC still restarts unexpectedly. Has anyone else experienced this problem or found a different solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
