Framework Desktop Kernel?

I have a Framework Desktop arriving Tuesday. According to their site and also articles such as this Framework Desktop - A 4.5L Beast for AI and Gaming – BIKMAN TECH recommended kernel is 6.15+ or even better; latest version. I note that my current Zorin Pro install on a System 76 Lemur Pro (lemp13) is only 6.14*

There are a bunch of newer ones listed at Index of /mainline

Any recommended guides to running a more recent kernel with Zorin? I have never done that before...

You can use the mainline or liquorix.

Thanks! Another question, on my current computer with Zorin 18 Pro and kernel 6.14* on it, if I don't do anything to it, when would its kernel ever be updated? With Zorin 19 release? In other words, does the kernel get updated as part of the normal system update process over time or is only when a major release happens?

I know I have seen the kernel getting updated over time when I was running Pop_OS.

Yes, it does. Kernel updates occur between major releases.
