Free games this week
Just discovered one of my favourite car racing games on there:
Pro Rally 2001. The problem with the original game is that it relied on Intel's Indeo codec (originally only available from ligos.com that no longer exists). The intro video is one of my favourites:

Slightly off-topic, there was a young lad who worked in our service who told me his Dad had worked on the Xbox360. I jokingly said to him, "Oh! Was he responsible for the red ring of death?" He couldn't see the funny side.

Our service got a donation to purchase an Xbox for the low-vision students. I never played on it, but I looked at the controller and felt it was a poor ergonomic design compared to the Playstation controller.

The xbox 360 had alot of units with this issue. Microsoft loves to annoy people with red rings of death or blue screen of death issues 
I always like the xbox360 controller and the xbox one, till i purchased a ps4 dualshock controller for my notebook.

The xbox 360 controller and xbox one controller both needed a receiver to get it to work in windows. Which i found strange since it has a wireless connection to the 360/one (money business). The playstation controller however has a great bluetooth connection, in linux it works perfectly fine out of the box and in Windows you need to use a program called ds4windows to emulate the xbox360 controller. In both os it emulates the 360 wireless and with cable connection it uses the ps4 pads in games.

Thank you sir am downloading as we speak .... there must be a done of folks download this right now cause I have a 75 Mbps download capability but only getting 1.9 Mbps on Steam and I am at 54 % right now after 1.2 hour of downloading .....
Found a new game called Project Castaway it's a survival / crafting 1 st person .... brand new still in the development stage ..... saw some videos of it on YouTube and it seems interesting .....

I am excited for you Frog, Half Life 2 was literally the best game I ever played in the 2000's. It became an instant game of the year smash hit. This was back when Valve still made amazing games, before they became a hardware pusher company. I really hope you enjoy it!
