Hello! I've been recently trying to run some different operating systems via Boxes, but I've noticed that performance is pretty bad and sluggish. I read that enabling "3D acceleration" from the preferences menu in that instance would solve this issue, but whenever I enable it I don't get any output. Here is an image of how it looks:

I'm using the native, non-flatpak version of Boxes. Here are my specs:
GT 1030
i5-8600
32GB DDR4
Does Your System run in Wayland or X11? You can check that with the Terminal Command echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
What Nvidia Driver do You use?
X11 (aka xorg), and I use nvidia-driver-580 which Zorin pre-installed for me when I set it up.
Hmm ... Your Graphics Card is a bit old. Maybe Boxes has Problems to handle it right. Did You tried for Comparision a different VM?
I tried using Virtualbox, but it said I can't use it since KVM is interfering with it, and I couldn't figure out how to remove it properly. I also tried virt-manager, but I couldn't get it to work at all.
Have you tried launching with 3D acceleration and "use Integrated Controller"?
There is also a Gnome bug that you need to toggle the 3D acceleration option twice (on, then off, then on) before it will work. I hesitate to ask on this because it is often tried, by accident or persistence...
But trying it by enabling, disabling, attempting to launch, enabling, disabling, enabling - attempt to launch - may actually do something. Not sure if Pascal Architecture is up to it, though.
Where is the intergrated controller option located at? And I tried turning the 3D acceleration on and off a few times before starting the VM, but no luck.
I also forgot to mention: from the homepage of Boxes, the small live preview of the VM does show up, which is quite weird.
Well, I stand corrected. I just installed Gnome-Boxes and checked and I cannot find it, anymore.
