I re-installed gnome-software and it restarted. goes to 250MB. I think is the app itself has the problem. The system will free the memory if some other heavy app will be used, it usually does not happen
I've always seen gnome-software grow to over a 1TB of memory. I have Zorin on two physical machines and two virtual machines and every new installation has this memory issue. If its not affecting everyone its very strange I'm seeing it across multiple hardware configs. POP seems similar though memory on the app manager keeps growing
