Hi , i have a mini stick pc ADJ , i try to install zorin two times but when it end and i reboot i see the shell command and the system doesn't start
Could You give us some Information about Your Device?
this is the model PC Stick 270-00100
i think it have 32gb ROm and 2 GB ram
From the spec I have seen on the web, the 32Gb storage is eMMc.
Haven't we seen issues with eMMc drives in the past.
Also the 2Gb RAM may be limiting.
Well, these are a bit low Specs for Core. I would suggest to try it with Zorin Lite instead.
Just to add on with the Zorin Lite recommendation, I would also recommend the minimal install, to keep the storage to as low as possible.
Installed the lite version same problem , when the os start start in shell mode
I do not believe that the architecture of that mini PC is compatible with Zorin OS (Or POP, Mint or Ubuntu, for that matter). It uses 32bit BIOS.
You can try an Intel Atom respin:
That might work.
When I reference this model what I get is that it comes with windows 10 64 bit preinstalled. Albeit I can't find much information on it, so maybe i'm looking at the wrong one.
I read something like that in a review re Win10 pre-loaded. Also that they may supply with Ubuntu pre-loaded in future.
But maybe that was in a review of similar Intel PC Stick I read, whilst searching for spec of PC Stick 270-00100.
I try to install bodhy (32 bit) but the pc stick now start only with the writing "shell>" , how can i reinstall so ?
It uses 32Bit BIOS, separately from the 64 bit Architecture.
This is odd - but due to its very small size. So you need a 64bit OS that also supports 32bit. Windows OS still does this, many modern GnuLinux distros do not.
