I have seen someone post on here about issues that have arisen dual booting Windows 11 and Zorin 17.x. The screenshots of Advanced options state "Zorin, with Linux". This is unacceptable. I have always prided Zorin stating that it is GNU/Linux. Nothing has changed in the GNU/Linux stratosphere as far as I am aware of.
There stands ''Zorin, with Linux [Kernel Version]''. So, that means that the Linux Kernel is meant, not Linux in general. It means ''Zorin, with Linux Kernel ...''
And even when ... Linux is the common Wording. When you speak about Linux, you say Linux. So, that wouldn't be a Problem.
I say GNU/Linux. The OS is GNU that uses the Linux kernel.
I say "GnuLinux" in regards to distributions.
For the Kernel, I say "Linux."
If I say GnuLinux Zorin on kernel 6.8 - that is correct.
If I say Zorin on Linux 6.8, that is correct.
I come out of the room yelling Linux, so everybody knows my soul is not tied to the Micros-corpo-devil. If I start yelling Gnu at people, I'll need to wear a Penguin costume, to drive the point home that I'm crazier then they are for staying on Windows.
