Help on replacing my Ubuntu 24 install with ZorinOS

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum!

Been using my PC on dualboot with Windows 10 and Ubuntu 24 for a couple of years now. To be honest I hated using Ubuntu and when i saw ZorinOS, how "normie" user friendly it is I instantly wanted to get it and install it. I'm installing with thru Ventoy which i hope isn't a problem.

Here is the problem. When i installed Ubuntu, i did it in a drive where a big partition is dedicated to windows format file system for storage, and the lasting space is dedicated to 4 partitions, the swap, efi, boot and linux file system as you can see in the next image.

I could manually remove all the Ubuntu partitions here and make new ones like i manually did with Ubuntu 24 when i initially installed it. But in the install program before this step i saw there is an option that says "remove Ubuntu 24.04.03 LTS and reinstall"
when i tried running that it said it will format "the next partitions: partition 4 of the sda drive" which is the Ubuntu file system.

Does running that just works? idk becuase it only formats the file system and not the boot too.

Welcome to the Forum!

If You want be sure that the right Stuff will be deleted, I would suggest to delete it manually and create the new Partitions manually, too.

Yea i figured, ended up using the easy route of basically just using the option to replace Ubuntu and some stuff like steam just refuses to work properly.

I'm doing the partitions manually then, at least this will serve as advice for someone who is like me and trying to replace their Ubuntu dual boot that is better to do it manually, thanks for the reply!
