Hibernate on ZorinOS 17

Hi folks,

I'm new in Linux and I just want to enable hibernate in Zorin 17.
I found hundreds of Tutorials, but they all requested the Simpler Off Menu with the gnome chrome gnome shell which I can't get run for hours.
Still says in Firefox:
No such native application org.gnome.chrome_gnome_shell
Try methods with the extension-manager, too.
I can't enable it.
Theres a "do not enter" symbol.
"Main.panel.statusArea.aggregateMenu is undefined"
It seems like in earlier ZorinOS this was way easier.

Thanks for help.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Do you have a swap partition set up for ZorinOS. I think you need that present for hibernation to work. Others may correct me if I am wrong, but that used to be the case.

Hi zabadabadoo
yes, I've created a swap partition.
The problem is to get the gnome shell running.
I read that cause so many problems on Ubuntu 22 and Zorin17 is based on it unfortunately.
