The only Windows app I use is Hoo Net Meter to display a live graph of web up/down traffic. I was delighted to find a Gnome extension called TopNetGraph, which promises to do the same thing natively, but when I install it I get an error:
"Error: Expected type string for argument 'schema_id' but got type undefined"
Can anyone suggest a fix? It would be great to lose the last vestige of Windows.

I don't know how to solve this problem. There are no useful informations about problems of this extension on github.
You could try it with another gnome-extension:

The pre installed Task Manager (System Monitor) have this feature to monitor your network stats.
Also there is an extension present in Zorin, just need to be enable if you want the network indicators to appear in taskbar.

Thanks, people. I tried all the "net speed" extensions, comparing them with speedtest.net, and while my Hoo Net Meter was accurate, the others all displayed vastly different figures - generally double, which makes me suspect that they double-count my adaptors (I use a permanent VPN) and there was no visible way to change the adaptors. I'll stick with Hoo, I think.
