I watched a guy on YouTube to make a batch file to shut down zorin and turn off computer. I downloaded a ico file but when I right click the batch file ( like yt guy did) I went to “ properties” there was no change icon image
I think more context is needed. Can you point to the video in question so members here can see exactly what you are referring to?

The image you are uploading may be too large. Have you tried resizing it or zooming in on just the relevant portion of the image?
I cropped it down to just the picture. Let me crop some more

im uploading a severy cropped jpeg picture of what I get when I right click the icon I want to change image, I then click properties and the image trying to send is what I get sending this from computer let me send picture from phone to this and resubmit hold on

When you first right click, then choose Properties, is there an Icon image in the Upper Left side of that window?
But when I "right click" the icon and click properties I get what the picture I sent shows up above

Maybe something has changed with Zorin OS 18. I am not currently on Gnome Desktop to look at this...
On mine, I see like the video shows. We may need to wait for a Gnome User on Zorin OS 18 to log in and look at this.
