I know Zorin Team will need quite the bit of time to update the gnome shell and various apps, but is there a way i can manually update a system app to the latest version ? maybe the gnome 46 apps?
Can't do without borking your system. I doubt that the version of glibc is high enough on Zorin to get Gnome 45.
You can get a specific app via Flatpak that is Gnome 45. It will run in sandbox though.
What do you have in mind?
For example i was just reading about the latest gnome 46 "kathmandu" updates and it had onedrive integration in the sidebar of the files app, i already logged into both my google account and microsoft but so far i only saw the option for google drive and not my onedrive folder ( i switched from windows 11 2 weeks ago) So i would love to have that specific feature which isnt available on the version 42.6 of the Files app. Thats all i want for now
Is Gnome already at 46? Times fly.
Anyway. That is not possible on Zorin OS. If you can't live without this feature, you might want to try/test a rolling distro.
Yes, it is. I think 46.2 or .3 if I'm not wrong.
I have moved to Plasma, so I don't keep up with Gnome anymore
