I accidentally put the screen in x2 mode and cant get back to normal

I just installed Zorin in Virtual box ande accidently klicked on the x2 display option. Now everything is huge on the screen and I can't see enough of the screen to de-select this option, and can't scroll to the option I need to change anything.

Is there a way I can put the Zorin screen back to the default settings via the command line. Or is there something else I can do.

Or do I need to delete the VM and reinstall to get rid of this?

You might try holding down the alt key while using the mouse to grab any part of the window and move it to get the controls into visibility. I have done this mistake before, too. That was how I got myself out of it.
