When I tried to shut down my laptop, it was stuck on a black screen, and the power button was also illuminated. I waited for a while, but eventually had to force a shutdown.
Should I need to be concerned?

Gday @JohnC , Welcome to the community!
Can you tell us a little more about your setup please.
Q: is this a clean install or Dual boot?
Q: Is this the first time after install that this happened?
Q: can you please tell us your machine specs?
Brand/Model:
CPU:
RAM:
SSD/HDD size:
Graphics:
If Dual booting, what is the Other OS's?
eg:
win 10 s mode
win7 home
etc/etc?
Following your steps, next time I will take an screenshot, and will post here.
It's a clean installation, without dual mode, and it hasn't happened since the installation. It occurred twice when I was using the new operating system.
My laptop model is HP ProBook 450 G7, with an Intel Core i5-10210U processor, 16 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (8 GB x 2), 500 GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus (M.2), and 1 TB SSD. It also has Intel UHD Graphics 620 (integrated).
Are you using Nvidia Graphics in addition to the integrated Intel?
Also is this a notebook computer or a PC Desktop computer (I ask in case you need to pull the CMOS battery)?
Please reboot your computer and then run:
sudo cat /var/log/kern.log
You can post the output here using a site like pastebin.com if that makes things easier for you.
Assuming it is the one in pictures at start of thread it is a HP ProBook 450 Notebook.
Do you mean when running windows it happened twice?
Or
Have you installed Zorin again, & it's happened twice since last install?
If possible you may try removing a RAM card, then try to boot, Please research if you need to use a certain card slot due to only using one card. ( Normally slot 1. with 2 slot's.
Another Question:
If this is a fresh install, did you allow "download updates & 3rd party" to install?
lol
How did I miss that?
I think it's something I experienced with a laptop I had, or at least heard about it. Usually even if the screen is black but you see LEDs lit up it means that shutdown is still running or a software/process is holding the shutdown. Usually you just have to wait, how much does it stay in that way?
