It is owned by Root- which you also own but are not signed in on.
On your User account, which you own, it is separate from Root, which you own - Try running as root by launching the application from terminal and entering your sudo password.
If you go into disks, then the settings/gear icon for the partition there is a "claim ownership" option. Problem is it is greyed out if your partition is in a windows format, but if you are in ext4 linux format it worked for me.
