I need help enabling the amdgpu kernel driver

  1. To choose Xorg instead of default Wayland. From login screen, click where you will enter your password, then look for gearwheel (or cog) icon bottom right of screen. Click that and Choose the Xorg (instead of Wayland option) listed.
  2. You can always add a different Desktop Environment (e.g. XFCE) to Core. I am sure there is more than one thread here on the forum that describes how to do that.
