Firstly, is your BIOS up to date?
Is it equal to this or greater?
Basically, I would advise you first try Zorin 18 Core in 'live mode' = ’Try Zorin'. Make sure everything works well when using 'Try Zorin' before installation.
If it is slow, try Zorin 17 Lite (having read posts elsewhere on this forum about Zorin 18 Lite that there are issues), again run 'Try Zorin' first before attempting an installation.

I'd recommend Zorin 17 Lite, too.
Here you can download all .iso files of Zorin. Select 17 for Zorin 17 and then select the .iso r2 for Zorin 17.3 Lite. It will be supported until June 2027. In June 2027 you could upgrade to Zorin 18 Lite.

On older hardware as yours, the older Zorin versions often run better than the newer ones. They use older kernels which offer better hardware support for older machines.
If you want to install Zorin Core, please switch after the installation from Wayland to Xorg. In Zorin Lite and the live boot stick of Zorin Core, Xorg is the default (Logout and at loginscreen click on your username, then a cog wheal appears at the bottom right corner. There you can switch between Wayland and Xorg).

I would recomend Zorin Lite, too. Also I would agree to @Forpli to use Zorin 17. I have Concerns about Your older Hardware and the Support of it with the Kernel in Zorin 18.
Depending how the default Zorin 17 works, it might be neccessary to install an older Kernel. And on Zorin 17, You can get the 5.15 Kernel when needed.
